Our program is for students interested in focusing their careers in the clinical practice setting, whether inpatient or outpatient. Preceptors with active clinical practices include 14 individuals with CPPs and many more with BCPS. Students should come expecting a demanding and challenging AHEC experience.

The Graduate Forum for local residents and fellows provides
a forum for required clinical scholar presentations and is open to all students
Many ambulatory care preceptors practice in physician office practices and are role models for practices in which clinical services are appreciated by physician colleagues and billed for by pharmacist providers
One AHEC faculty has a research laboratory where HPLC assays can be performed, and a clinical practice which allows extensive application of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic drug dosing and monitoring
