COLLECTIONS

 

he Greensboro Medical Historical Library collections are comprised of unique primary documents dating from the early 19th Century to the present, such as journals, letters, correspondence, photographs, medical instruments, ledgers, moving images, scrapbooks, and albums.  Materials relate to the history of health and medicine in Greensboro and Guilford County, North Carolina.

 

Online Finding Aids

The GMHL also houses over 1500 books that served to directly support the medical practice in Greensboro and Guilford County, North Carolina, from the late 18th Century to the present.  Although many of the books in the GMHL are rare, and in some cases unique, the strength of this collection lies in its ability to represent the history of medical scholarship in the region.
