The UNC Eye Symposium will provide the latest updates and insights in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders including anterior segment, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, oculoplastics, and pediatric ophthalmology.

Course Objectives:
  • Examine relative efficacy and risks of new glaucoma surgical procedures compared to standard procedures.
  • Examine current imaging printouts to see how they can help diagnose macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy at an earlier stage.
  • Determine ideal treatment algorithm for macular edema from retinal diseases.
  • Identify patients with optic nerve disease using OCT.
  • Determine cause of strabismus and appropriate surgical management.
