What Can I Expect?

The UNC Eye Symposium will provide the latest updates and insights in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders including anterior segment, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, oculoplastics, and pediatric ophthalmology.

Course Objectives:
Examine relative efficacy and risks of new glaucoma surgical procedures compared to standard procedures.
Examine current imaging printouts to see how they can help diagnose macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy at an earlier stage.
Determine ideal treatment algorithm for macular edema from retinal diseases.
Identify patients with optic nerve disease using OCT.
Determine cause of strabismus and appropriate surgical management.
