The NC TraCS Institute is the academic home of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The CTSA is funded through the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR).
NC TraCS’ goals are to reduce the time it takes for laboratory discoveries to become treatments for patients, engage communities (ie. medical practices, providers, community organizations) in clinical research efforts and train the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.
In a partnership with The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, GAHEC is building a community organizational structure to facilitate and implement clinical and translational research projects through collaborative efforts among experienced investigators, GAHEC healthcare providers, private practitioners, and public health and community research/advocacy organizations.
The NC TraCS Institute, Wake AHEC, Greensboro AHEC, and the
Carolina Community Network (CCN) proudly co-sponsor a series of
FREE workshops on research topics. The following is a list of
