Greeensboro AHEC

Greensboro AHEC offers offer programs that enhance nursing practice through continuing education workshops, symposia and conferences.


AHEC Digital Library – Nursing

The AHEC Digital Library offers access to lists of continuing education resources particularly those offered by the North Carolina AHECs.  Some are online.   Choose the link, Continuing Education, found under the section, Clinical Resources.

 

Database CEUs

Ebsco CINAHL CE Module

Click on a CE Module for the list of available Modules. Each CE Module should be completed in one sitting, since you cannot exit and return to the module.  The Modules are one to several hours in length.  There is no fee for these credits.

 Steps to CINAHL CE Module

From off-campus, you need to access CINAHL through the AHEC Digital Library.   To register for this access, contact Moses Cone Health System Library, 832-7484 or at medical.librarymc@conehealth.com


Ebsco CINAHL CEU Article

CINAHL offers a quick way to identify CEU articles on specific subjects of interest.  Enter Ebsco’s CINAHL through the MCHS Medical Library Homepage; click on CINAHL (Nursing).  The link will take you to the AHEC Digital Library; choose CINAHL.   Run a search in CINAHL for the subject of your choice; using the LIMITS feature, limit your search to the Publication Type, CEU.


Organizations

Click on the Continuing Education tab for information about CE opportunities  or use the ANCC Online Course Catalog. This site lists web-based, narrated PowerPoint versions of the current live-event offerings.  Registration and purchase is required to access courses.

ANA Continuing Online Education.

The ANA offers CE accredited by the ANCC. Some courses are free CE for ANA Members. Online certificates are instantly available upon completion.



North Carolina Nurses Association

The NCNA offers a list of North Carolina providers of continuing education approved by the NCNA.  From the homepage, choose Education, then NC Approved Providers.  Each provider has its website listed.

 

**Check your particular nursing organization's Website for CE possibilities.  Most organizations have some sort of CE offered, or a suggested link.
