The Application Process
We will only be accepting applications
through ERAS (link below).
Our interview season will be from November
1 through January 31. After we have received and reviewed your application, we
will contact you via e-mail to let you know if you are invited to interview at
our program. If needed and we have transcripts and letters of recommendation, we
will schedule an interview prior to receiving the Dean's letter. Applications must be complete prior to the interview day. We do
require scores from STEP I (and when available, STEP II) of the USMLE with the
application.
Complete applications consist of the following:

Deans' letter of recommendation

Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty
(NOTE: The above 3 letters are required. Other letters, such as a Chairman's
Letter, are accepted and welcomed.)
- Transcript of medical school course work
- USMLE Score Reports
- Completed application forms
- Supplemental data form (which we will e-mail you
prior to your interview)
- Personal interview

Foreign Graduate Requirements:
If you are a graduate of a foreign
medical school, the following criteria applies:
- Applications are only accepted through ERAS
- Graduation from Medical School preferred within the last 5 years.
- USMLE scores - 85 or better on
both Step 1 and Step 2 (receipt of both Step 1 & 2 scores required for
consideration of application).
- Completed or scheduled to take the Step 2 Clinical Skills Test by December 30,
2007 (Candidates must have valid ECFMG certification by
the following February 15th to be
put on our match list.)
- Fluent in English.
- US experience of at least
three months with reference letters from US physician
preceptor(s) attesting to candidate's medical knowledge and their ability to
take history and physical and determine a differential diagnosis.
- We sponsor J-1 visas through the ECFMG. H-1B visas are sponsored only on rare
occasions, with the resident having primary responsibility. These are considered
on a case-by-case basis, with decisions being made after interview.
