 TouchPoint

My experience during the STEP program was very interesting.  The biggest thing I got from attending this six week summer program was the knowledge.  I didn't have a very sufficient Chemistry class in high school and college level Chemistry is no longer offered at my school.  To better prepare myself for college, I decided to enroll in this program.  By doing the STEP program I got a lot of hands on experience that most college students don't get until their seniors year of college.  I also learned more Chemistry than I expected to in six weeks.  This program definitely kept me motivated to continue on the path of a science related career.  Due to my hard work and presentation, I was chosen as a STEP scholar to come back and due research throughout the school year at A&T.  This opportunity will help me stand out from other applicants to college admission officers and help me get into my school of choice.  This was an experience that I would do all over again, and something that I feel should continue to be offered to students after me.    Naijla Faizi
