A Great Rural Setting.
A Great Learning Opportunity.

The Setting

Over two-thirds, or 69.2 percent, of North Carolinians live in rural areas. Even if you practice in an urban area, you most likely will care for patients and families from these rural areas.

Developing an understanding of the challenges of patients and the rural hospital that serves them will create a better framework for planning care and providing continuity for rural patients.

The Opportunity

We offer two unique programs to provide medical residents and practicing physicians the opportunity to learn and experience the rural setting and the rural hospital. This opportunity includes:

•  A five-day elective rotation for medical residents.

•  An online CME course paired with a four hour on-site learning experience in a rural hospital for practicing physicians.

Join us in a great rural setting and be part of a great learning opportunity.
